Bella Kadyshevna Kantar

Bella Kadyshevna Kantar, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on June 7, 1939, in Vitebsk, Belarus to the late Kadysh Elvich and Luba Blyachman.

Her early years were shaped by her beloved hometown of Vitebsk, where she met her beloved husband, the late Zelik Kantar. They raised their two children and she spent many years working as a bookkeeper at a clothing manufacturer. They later moved to the United States in the late 90s with their children and grandchildren

Bella is survived by her son, Nikolay (Irina) Kantar and daughter, Irina (Alex) Melnikova; and beloved grandchildren, Andrey (Luba) Melnikov, Lonya (Taylor) Melnikov and Katya (Kyle) Musleh and Anna Kantar.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, August 28th at 2 PM in the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery.
