Anna Karen (Fletcher) Butler

January 29, 1938 — January 5, 2024

Lebanon

Anna Karen (Fletcher) Butler, 85, of Lebanon, IN passed away January 5, 2024. She was born on January 29, 1938 to the late Ward and Aileen Fletcher in Estherville, Iowa. Karen graduated from Estherville High School before attending junior college in Iowa. She met and married Henry “Hank” Allen Butler who preceded her in death in 2016. Together they shared life’s journeys as they moved from Iowa, to Columbia, Missouri where they raised their family.

Upon retirement, they relocated to the beauty of northern Minnesota where Karen was active in her church, Crosslake Presbyterian, as Board Secretary. She enjoyed playing golf, sewing, quilting, and was always up for reading a good book. Upon Hank’s passing, Karen moved to Lebanon, IN to be closer to family. She quickly became involved in her local community by organizing and maintaining a small library for community residents.

She will be sorely missed by her friends, family, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who referred to her affectionately as “Mama K.”

Mama K is survived by her children, Michael Allen Butler, Timothy Jon Butler, William Ward Butler, Charles Eric Butler and Lynne Marie Wright.
