Alan Goldberg

Alan Bernard Goldberg, 80, of Hartford City, passed away on October 7, 2026. He was born in Evansville, IN, on February 25, 1946, to Louis and Sara Ochstein Goldberg. Alan graduated from Hartford City High School in 1965; he then proudly served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970 and had a long career, running his own company, Hartford Iron and Metal Inc. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, avid poker player, avid gun collector, and a lifetime member of Temple Beth-El in Muncie, IN.

Alan is survived by his loving children, Scott (Kristin) Goldberg, David (Jenee) Goldberg, and Louis Goldberg (Wendy); and grandchildren, Samuel Goldberg, Beckett Goldberg, and Charlotte Goldberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rebecca Wexler Goldberg, son Charles Goldberg, and brother Joseph Goldberg. Graveside services will be held at the Zion Gardens Cemetery in Chicago, IL on Friday, October 9th at 11:00 CST. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blackford County Animal Shelter.
