COVID-19

At Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary the community’s safety is of paramount concern. We will be following the guidelines set forth by the Government with regards to social gatherings.

At this time, funeral services will be limited to immediate family only. Some clergy have indicated they will officiate at graveside services only. We will update you with the current information we have at the arrangement conference, as this is a rapidly changing situation.

We offer streaming services, at no additional charge, so that all extended family, friends and colleagues may share in this special memorial of your loved one.

About Us

History

Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary was founded in 1935 in downtown Indianapolis and purchased by Max Nelson, of blessed memory, in 1964. Max passed away in May of 2019. Since 1991, Max’s daughter, Jennifer Nelson Williams, has served in various capacities and is now the president and CEO of the organization. She and her staff pledge to continue the unparalleled service that has been a benchmark of the funeral home since its founding.

Individualized Service

We strive to provide families with the highest level of care and personalization, so each memorial reflects the beauty and individuality of the person being remembered.

Professionals with Principles

Our experienced funeral directors listen to and respect your individual needs. As a family owned and operated business, we endeavor to honor the wishes of every person we serve as if they were our own family.

Inclusive, Transparent Pricing

Simple, affordable and dignified cremation is $799. We also have memorial service packages and traditional funeral services priced to meet the needs of each family we serve. By providing meaningful memorial services to families for less than most funeral homes charge for a basic cremation, we hope to give more families the opportunity to find comfort in gathering together to honor their loved one.

We Serve Everyone

Our entire staff is dedicated to preserving the dignity and sanctity of the funeral, memorial service or burial. We are pleased to serve all ethnic and religious groups with respect and expertise. Additionally, we seamlessly collaborate with all cemeteries for traditional casket burial or urn burial.

Our beautifully decorated funeral home, with on-site crematory, monument showroom and urn display room, is designed to meet the needs of your family. We are fully handicap accessible with abundant parking and are able to accommodate small gatherings or large groups comfortably in our 13,000 square foot facility. We staff our facility 24 hrs a day to provide you with an extra level of attention and care.
